Organize foreign currency for frequent travelers

Background

I used to travel for work often and I would go to the same countries from time to time. I used to keep my foreign currency in paper envelopes, but these quickly wore down and were tricky to keep tidy. I also add the ID cards or transit cards for the countries.

My latest method is using plastic sleeve with seals at the top and pockets for labels.

Prerequisites

• Plastic zip Envelope File Bags for A6 like these
• Custom printed labels for the pockets

Instructions (iOS and iPadOS only)

1. Source as many plastic zip envelope file bags for A6 documents as you need for each currency. This is not an affiliate link.
2. Print currency envelope labels, or make your own. I would share the template, but I made this in Canva and it’s a premium feature to share a template. I don’t pay for that.
3. Cut the labels to size and insert them into the pockets of the file bags.
4. Sort your currency into each bag.
